Walton will be hosting 4 exciting summer STEM Camps including our new Drone Camp!

LEGO EV3 Beginning Robotics
An introductory camp for those with little to no experience in robotics. Students will collaborate in teams to design, build and program LEGO EV3 Robots to solve various themed game challenges. Students will also gain experience in using sensors for advanced performance of the robot.
Who: Rising 6th – 8th graders
Times: 8 AM-1 PM M-W
8 AM-3 PM TH
Cost $200 and includes a camp shirt
Snacks will be served M-W. Lunch will be served on Thursday.
Drone Camp
The Parrot Drone STEM camp is a great way for students to be introduced to programming and basic engineering principles. Students will work in teams to complete a drone obstacle course, and utilize the engineering design process through other STEM projects.
Who: Rising 6th – 8th graders
Times: 8 AM-1 PM M-W
8 AM-3 PM TH
Cost $200 and includes a camp shirt

VEX Advanced Robotics
For students who have experience building and programming robots including previous NXT or EV3 Robotics camps or FIRST FLL Teams. Students will work in teams with VEX kits and program in Robot C to compete in a team challenge.
Who: Rising 7th – 9th graders
Time: 8 AM-3 PM M-TH

Includes Camp shirt, snacks and lunch
Programming Camp
Using JAVA programming language, students will learn how to logically solve problems in code, properly handle user input/output, fix technical and logical errors, develop efficient algorithms, and have various programming components work together effectively.
Who: Rising 7th – 9th graders
Time: 8 AM-3 PM M-TH
